The inflatable work platform is used for maintenance, inspection and repair in industrial tanks and pressure vessels where there is no fixed work floor and internal scaffolding is impractical or time-consuming. The platform forms a stable, temporary work floor at the desired height and enables safe working in confined industrial installations.

Working in tanks and pressure vessels with restricted access

Tanks and pressure vessels often have limited access via manholes or inspection hatches and an internal geometry that makes it difficult to install traditional scaffolding. In these situations, scaffolding construction requires a lot of set-up time and limits the available working space.

The inflatable work platform is brought in as a compact package through the manhole and inflated on site. This creates a stable work floor without anchoring to the wall of the tank or pressure vessel.

Technical operation

After positioning, the platform clamps itself against the inner wall of the tank or pressure vessel by means of controlled air pressure. This results in a stable, load-bearing structure that is suitable for persons and tools.

The work surface is flat and non-slip and can be used at different heights, depending on the work and internal structure.

Application in maintenance and inspection

The inflatable work platform is used for, among other things:

• Inspection of walls and welds
• Maintenance of nozzles and internal components
• Repair of coatings or damage
• Cleaning and visual inspection

The soft contact zones prevent damage to coatings, stainless steel or other materials on the inside of the tank or pressure vessel.
