An ETFE cushion roof, a tensile membrane structure or a canopy made of technical textile lasts for decades, provided it is properly maintained. Buitink Technology has been inspecting, cleaning, repairing and renovating these structures for many years, in the Netherlands and abroad. Not only the roofs and membranes we designed and built ourselves, but also structures built by others.

We have everything in house: engineers who understand the structure, technicians used to working at height, our own workshop for new cushions, fabrics and parts, and cleaning agents and equipment suited to the coating of the fabric or foil. That means we can not only identify a problem, but also solve it.

What we do

• Inspection and condition assessment: checking the fabric or foil, pretension, details, cables and fixings, air pressure and air supply unit. On request to NEN 2767, with a report and maintenance advice for the years ahead.
• Cleaning: of ETFE foil, PVC- and PTFE-coated fabric and stretch ceilings, using agents that do not damage the top coat. On the outside and the inside.
• Repair: tears, leaking cushions, loose seams, damaged edges and profiles. Where needed, we make new cushions or fabric panels to measure.
• Renovation: replacing cushions or fabrics, renewing air supply units, blowers, dryers and controls, and improving details that keep causing problems.
• Maintenance contract: a fixed annual inspection and maintenance visit, recorded in your project's maintenance file.

How it works

1. You send us a few photos and the location, or request an inspection.
2. We inspect and record the condition, with photos and advice.
3. You receive a proposal for cleaning, repair or renovation.
4. We carry out the work, outside the building's opening hours where possible.

Everything on record

Every maintenance project has its own file. For each visit we record when the work was done, by whom, what was checked and measured, and which measures were taken, with photos per cushion, fabric panel or component. At the next visit we can see immediately what was found last time, and as the owner you always have the maintenance history of your roof at hand.
