Buitink Technology developed a lift- and supportcushion especially for rotorblades.

The cushion lifts and supports the rotorblade to make it accessible for inspection, maintenance and repairs.

Since the blades are made of sandwich composite materials (glasfibre reinforced epoxy), an inflatable cushion is ideal for support, while no point loads will be exerted on the vulnerable surface.

On top, the main cushion is provided with two or three flat platform cushions which can be inflated separately. These cushions make sure that the rotorblade can be positioned left  and right. Also, these cushions keep the rotorblade accessible for inspection/ repairs.
